Thank you for visiting Works of Service Ministries!

Works of Service provides free or low cost maintenance, repair, and home improvement to area residents who are either physically or financially unable to address necessary issues around their homes. Most of the homeowners we assist are either single mothers with children, the elderly, the disabled or the economically disadvantaged, most with no one else to turn to. There are no prerequisites or strings attached in order to receive service, just an honest need.

We are developing a follow-up ministry to address any other physical or spiritual needs they may have and also to refer them to a local church or other agency for assistance with their specific need. All that we do is for the glory of the Lord.

We have been blessed with several new and enthusiastic volunteers to accompany the ones that we had at the beginning of the year, all with varying skill levels. They all have a strong compassion for those in need. In 2008 our volunteers donated over 900 hours of service completing 50 projects. Since our beginning in 2002 we have completed more than 230 projects which included over 4000 volunteer hours. These are not just projects, but individuals and families that we are touching hearts, giving hope and changing lives in the name of the Lord.

Works of Service is also a teaching ministry. We have many volunteers who are willing to share their diverse range of knowledge and expertise with the other volunteers.

We are seeking prayers in support of Works of Service. The Lord has heard the cries of the needy and is faithful to answer our prayers as we respond to their needs.

Additional volunteers are needed to address the increasing volume of opportunities that the Lord is giving us. We also need additional sources for material and supplies.

Christ had compassion for, and ministered to, those who had special needs. In Matthew 5:16 and 25:31, through the end of the chapter, He emphasizes what He would have us do and why. These are two of the many scriptures that give Works of Service its vision, purpose and objectives, and, as humble servants, we seek to honor Jesus Christ in all we say and do, and to give Him all praise, honor, and glory.
